Words are inadequate to describe such a wonderful guy, and although I only saw him for a short time each year in Aust, it was for many years and I will miss him. Many good times, many laughs (and many photos), and always time for a chat. I constantly saw the inspirational athlete in him, and how he was admired – a legacy to be proud of. But to me he was just Clay, a friend.
We’ll raise a glass tomorrow on Australia Day at The Fortune of War in his memory – half and half, just as it should be.
